Key Components Arrive for uCAIR 1 Platform Integration

The uCAIR 1 platform at the University of Limerick is coming together: two essential components have now arrived at the Bernal Institute, marking a major milestone in the integration phase.

The optical alignment box – developed by LLS Rowiak – ensures precise laser beam positioning, contributing to improved measurement accuracy and system stability. It is now ready for integration with additional modules from LambdaX and Multitel.

In parallel, microfluidic flow cells provided by the Institute of Scientific Instruments of the Czech Academy of Sciences will enable real-time analysis of biomarkers in liquid samples – a critical feature for uCAIR’s mission of developing automated, modular monitoring systems.

With preparations for integration and calibration now underway, this marks the beginning of a dynamic new phase for the project. The physical assembly of the system is in full swing – bringing uCAIR 1 closer to its vision of real-time, high-resolution reaction monitoring.
